We are very excited to announce the addition of yet another fragrance line to our growing selection of Modern Classic perfumes and candles. When curating our fragrance collection, we consider quality, exclusivity, and above all our love for each and every scent….
Introducing our new love: Etro!
Known for their exuberant prints and bright colours, the Italian fashion house manufactures works of art in the form of fabric, fashion, home furnishings and of course fragrances. If you are not already familiar with The House of Etro, here is a little background info on the brand.
Behind the Brand
Etro is “New Tradition”, the sum of artisan know-how and creative experimentation.
The entrepreneurial venture began in 1968, when Gimmo Etro, the brand’s visionary founder, launched a production of highly prestigious fabrics using noble and natural fibres, which he embellished with original designs and innovative colour ways.
In 1981 the furnishing textiles line made its debut.
The Paisley motif used to enrich the first collection was set to become the Etro mark of identity. The product range added another string to its bow in 1984 with leather goods and the bag and travel bag collection in Paisley jacquard fabric, which, thanks to its special resin finish, was to become a symbol of pure elegance. In 1986 Etro launched the home accessories and complements collection, thus consolidating the brand’s lifestyle concept. The creation of the Etro Perfumes division in the late 1980s was a natural consequence and today the collection extends to 25 exclusive fragrances and a dedicated boutique. The 1990s saw the unveiling of the first men’s and women’s prêt-à-porter collections, their inventive and recherché style earning the label instant recognition. The materials, the workings and a special talent with prints are what make Etro unique and unrepeatable.
A Family Business
Each of the twenty-five Etro fragrances are made using the techniques and ingredients of artisan perfumers. A broad and eclectic range, each perfume has its own unmistakable character and personality to express every state of mind of the day. Olfactory recipes part of a unique family, the scented tassels of a well-recognized story: also in the world of fragrances, Etro’s approach to perfume expresses the search for the quality, creativity and personal style represented by the label in each of its production segments. Etro has chosen to follow the principles of colour therapy to help in choosing a perfume, associating each fragrances with the personalities expressed by a colour. Red, yellow, white, green, blue, indigo and orange trace real chromatic profiles, letting us identify the most kindred temperaments for each olfactory group; and to help us to recognize our own emotional portrait in the fragrance and at the same time prompting us to explore new facets of our personality.
Conceiving a new perfume is an art of the intellect, creating it a marvel of chemistry, knowing how to choose it a sign of style. A universe of drops that evokes colour, embraces the senses, conjures up landscapes and moments by skillfully mixing ingredients from near and far to compose fragments of poetry.
Pegaso – The name ‘Pegaso’ carries within it the symbol of the brand. A heraldic figure for a perfume that marries modern citrus freshness with the classicism of Umbrian and Tuscan burgs. A renaissance of the senses infused with the tangy scent of the hedges of an Italian garden and the balsamic aroma of herbs gathered in the cloisters.

Greene Street – This is one of the newest fragrances by Etro, inspired by SOHO in New York, where the western bohemian spirit is the heartbeat of the quarter and also where the Milanese brand has chosen to open it’s latest boutique. Versatile and distinctive, this perfume also magically adapts to a more feminine tone when worn by a woman, thanks to the seductive subtle undertones.

Heliotrope Candle – In the language of magic, heliotrope flowers bring the truth to light, opening doors and removing obstacles that reveal self-worth and self-assurance.
Blended with vanilla, heliotrope produces an infusion of vitality that is as fragrant as a cream cake and as luminous as a Mediterranean dawn. Strong almonds combined with the spicy fragrance of coumarin sharpen the perceptions, creating the perfect balance of bitter and sweet.
