This week, Mr. Simon Tooley and I are off to the Pitti Fragranze fair in Florence, Italy!
What a wonderful year it has been with regards to fragrant discoveries! Last March I had the opportunity to visit Milan and attend the Esxence fragrance exhibit where I learned about many new and exciting fragrance houses, as well as some older well established brands. I had an amazing time meeting with new friend and fragrance aficionado, Lucas Szczesniak of Chemist in the Bottle who helped me to discover some fantastic perfumes that I am hoping to see again at Pitti Fragranze and share with Simon.
Some info on the event: From Friday September 12th to Sunday the 14th, Pitti Immagine will present the 12th edition of Pitti Fragranze at Stazione Leopolda. This international fair brings together the best in artistic perfumery with its sights set on the world of olfactory culture. Fragranze showcases the most exclusive fragrances, body care, wellness products, cosmetics and sophisticated scented accessories by over 200 of the most exciting brands in the world of fragrance!
This year’s theme: Profumi & Parole – Words and Scents (The inspiration for the new layout designed by Alessandro Moradei) –
Visual media will accompany this fragrant experience and focuses on the dialogue between fragrances and the words of poets and writers.
Pitti Fragranze has two special sections :
SPRING – the area for fresh young fragrance brands.
CHARMS – a space that showcases a unique selection of accessories.
