While sister fragrance from Escentric Molecules, Molecule 02 focuses solely on the ambroxan molecule, Escentric 02 combines this note with vetiver and muscone, a gorgeous natural smelling musk. Orris, elderflower extract and accents of jasmine from hedione add an effervescence feel to this light and refreshing fragrance.
Escentric 02 opens with a very strong alcohol smell – isopopryl alcohol, followed quickly by a woody aroma with spots of pepper. As the alcohol fades, a fresh, cool citrus scent develops and then Escentric 02 becomes dormant. For the next hour or so, I cannot smell anything. But people around me can, and they tell me that it’s wonderful! I am going to have to take their word for it, as I know the mysterious nature of Escentric Molecule fragrances. Three hours later, I can appreciate small whiffs of this so-called “wonderful”! It’s difficult to describe, but it reminds me of warm sunshine and it just seems to sparkle gently on my skin. I love it!
