Unlike traditional perfumes, hair fragrances are designed not to dry out the hair. They keep hair smelling pleasant all day long, especially between washes. Summer brings sun, swimming and heat… but also challenges for our hair! Between UV rays, chlorine, sea salt and heat, our hair can quickly become dry, dull and brittle. Here are our best tips for keeping your hair healthy and shiny all summer long.

1. Protect Your Hair From the Sun

Just like your skin, your hair needs protection from UV rays.

UV rays can damage keratin, dry out the hair fibre and even discolour colour-treated hair.

Our Tips:

Wear a hat or scarf when exposed to the sun for long periods.

Use a hair spray with a UV filter, especially if you have colour-treated or highlighted hair.

You may be tempted to bring a 50 or 100 ml cream, serum or cleanser when travelling, but keep in mind that a maximum total of 1000 ml is allowed per person when travelling with a carry-on only. All products must therefore fit into a plastic bag with a capacity of one liter. Only one bag per person is allowed.

Powdered products such as dry shampoos, foot powders and bath salts cannot be carried in your carry-on if the quantity is equal to or greater than 350 ml (12 oz.). However, these products may be carried in your checked baggage, regardless of quantity.

Toiletries (including aerosols) such as hairspray, perfume, cologne or any product containing alcohol may be carried in checked baggage provided the total capacity does not exceed two liters (2L) or two kilograms (2Kg) per passenger.

At the end of the year, we always like to look back on the past 12 months. Here are the 5 launches, 4 brands and one product, that made Etiket’s Best Launches of 2023 list.

Best New Brand & Product Launches this Past Year

1. **Le Rouge à Ongles**:
This French brand introduces us to the neighbourhoods of Paris through each of its bottles, the latter which are the perfect size, that is, neither too big, nor too small. These make you dream of owning the entire collection, allowing you to change the colour of our nails to suit your mood.

2. **Wonder Valley**
This range, with its hippy, cool, underground feel, was a revelation this year. As fashionista and style queen Jenna Lyon says, this range “does some really interesting things, and I’m really excited by everything it does”. It inspires us to live a healthy, simple and effective lifestyle. A collection of products that we love to gift, over and over again!

3. The Light Salon
If you’re skeptical about those LED masks that look like they’re straight out of a horror movie, it’s because you haven’t tried them yet! The ultimate experience and spa treatment in the comfort of your own home. Both effective and relaxing, you can wear it while immersed in a good book, working (thanks to telecommuting in recent years) or watching your favourite movie.

4. **Wonderblush**
We always love to be presented with high-performance products, and we love them even more when they’re local. We first fell in love with the woman behind the brand, and it was when we tested her products that we realized it was a perfect match: a local brand, a lovely founder, eco-responsible packaging and formulas free from ingredients known or recognized as toxic or harmful.
