FAQ: All You Need To Know About Vivier’s Serum 30

Next-generation brightening.

Vivier’s NEW Serum 30 is expertly formulated with 30% Vitamin C – a synergistic blend of 20% Et-VC® (3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid) and 10% L-Ascorbic Acid USP engineered to target moderate to severe hyperpigmentation. This hydroquinone-free serum targets both surface-level and deeper, underlying pigmentation and damage—while helping prevent future discoloration.

As the only serum to combine this precise blend of Vitamin C with our innovative IDS® delivery system, Serum 30 offers superior brightening, comfort, and stability — all while shielding skin with advanced antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits.

Here are the most frequently asked questions relating to Vivier’s latest innovation.

Who should use Serum 30? Is it only meant for skin with visible hyperpigmentation?

Serum 30 is for anyone looking to protect, brighten, and improve their skin, not just those with visible hyperpigmentation. Its high-potency hybrid Vitamin C formula defends against daily environmental damage while delivering powerful brightening benefits. That said, it’s especially ideal for those struggling with moderate to severe hyperpigmentation, as it works deeply to reduce discoloration and prevent future pigment formation.

How long does a bottle of Serum 30 last?

With twice daily use of 2-3 drops per application, a bottle will last approximately 3-4 months. For maximum efficacy, we recommend the product be used within 6 months after opening. It is important to note that due to the high level of pure and potent L-Ascorbic Acid USP in the formula, it is normal for the formula to yellow over time due to air and light exposure. This natural colour change does not substantially affect the product’s efficacy. Should your serum turn an orange/deep amber, it is best to replace the product. To maximize product shelf life, store your serum at room temperature and ensure the dropper cap is tightly sealed after each use.

Can Serum 30 be used with retinol?

Yes, Serum 30 is suitable to use within the same daily skincare routine as retinol.
Since Serum 30 has a low pH and retinol is most effective at a higher pH, we recommend using one of the following three strategies for maximum results:

1. Wait at least 30 minutes after applying Serum 30 before applying your retinol
2. Use Serum 30 in the morning and Retinol in the evening
3. Use Serum 30 and Retinol on alternating evenings

When & how should I apply Serum 30?

Serum 30 can be used both morning and night. For optimal results, apply twice daily as part of your skincare routine. Although some prefer applying serums directly from the dropper, to prevent potential contamination, we recommend dispensing 2 to 3 drops of Serum 30 into your palm and using fingertips to apply a thin layer to face, neck, chest, and back of hands as desired. A general rule to follow when layering products is to apply them from thinnest to thickest texture.

What colour should Serum 30 be?

L-Ascorbic Acid USP (pure Vitamin C), the primary ingredient in Vivier’s Vitamin C serums, may gradually develop a light-yellow hue over time. This natural colour change does not substantially affect the product’s efficacy. Thanks to our propriety IDS delivery system, which shields naturally unstable Vitamin C molecules from oxidation, our serums are known to maintain their clarity and efficacy longer than other Vitamin C serums on the market.
To further maximize the shelf life of your Serum 30, we recommend tightening the dropper securely after each use, storing your serum at room temperature, and using it within 6 months of opening to ensure optimal results. Should your serum turn an orange/deep amber, it is best to replace the product.

How long does it take to start seeing results?

Many of our customers see and feel an improvement in their skin in as little as one use, however, individual outcomes may vary. Given the natural skin cycle is approximately 28 days long, when used consistently and as directed, customers tend to see significant, noticeable results in as little as 4 weeks. We recommend taking before and after pictures to assist in tracking progress.

Is Serum 30 safe to use after professional procedures?

Yes, Serum 30 is suitable to use as soon as one day post non-ablative procedures. Always consult with a physician or provider for individualized post-procedure care.

Your common questions on SkinCeutical's new anti-aging serum, answered.

When it comes to visibly reversing the signs of time, few products blend innovation and elegance quite like SkinCeuticals’ A.G.E. Interrupter Ultra Serum. Crafted to address the loss of elasticity, firmness, and radiance, this concentrated formula is the answer to one of skin’s most complex concerns: glycation. In this FAQ, we explore the science behind the serum, how to incorporate it into your ritual, and why it’s becoming a staple in high-performance skincare routines.

What does A.G.E. Interrupter Ultra Serum do?

A.G.E. Interrupter Ultra Serum visibly lifts and tightens 4 key facial and neck areas. It is clinically proven to reduce fine lines, wrinkles and noticeable signs of aging including those linked to Advanced Glycation End-Products (A.G.E.), which occurs when sugar molecules bind to collagen resulting in loss of elasticity.

How long before A.G.E. Interrupter Ultra Serum shows visible results?

Can A.G.E. Interrupter Ultra Serum be used every day?

Yes, it is recommended that A.G.E. Interrupter Ultra Serum be used twice daily, morning and night.

How do skin-tightening serums work?

Skin-tightening serums, such as A.G.E. Interrupter Ultra Serum, help reverse the visible signs of aging associated with glycation, a process where sugar molecules bind to collagen fibres in the skin, weakening them and making the skin more susceptible to fine lines and wrinkles. Double-patented A.G.E. Serum technology supports collagen synthesis to maintain the skin’s firmness and elasticity for a lifted look on key areas.

Can I use A.G.E. Interrupter Ultra Serum with retinol?

Yes, you can use a lifting serum like A.G.E. Interrupter Ultra Serum with formulas containing retinol. It is recommended that A.G.E. Interrupter Ultra Serum be applied at night after a retinol formula.

Can I use A.G.E. Interrupter Ultra Serum with hyaluronic acid?

Yes, you can use A.G.E. Interrupter Ultra Serum with formulas containing hyaluronic acid. It works synergistically with hyaluronic acid in lifting and volumizing.

Can I use A.G.E. Interrupter Ultra Serum with vitamin C?

Yes, you can use a face-firming serum like A.G.E. Interrupter Ultra Serum with formulas containing vitamin C, including CE Ferulic. If using A.G.E. Interrupter Ultra Serum in the morning, it is recommended that it is applied after a SkinCeuticals vitamin C serum and before sunscreen.
