If you have ever traveled to the south of Italy, in particular, the Amalfi Coast, then Eau d’Italie will surely have you reminiscing of Mediterranean landscapes and the smell of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Hotel Le Sirenuse in Positano was the inspiration behind Eau d’Italie’s first perfume.
Eau d’Italie is a true modern unisex scent. It starts with a green woody, citrus composition – a fresh burst of citrus accompanied by the essence of pine resin. Black current adds a hint of sweetness to round out the top notes and prevent the composition from becoming too sour. As the heart notes become more apparent, magnolia dominates the floral notes and in the base notes, Eau d’Italie takes an unexpected turn as the warm incense in the top notes plays with cool watery metallic accords. Amber, patchouli and clove add a sharp edginess with subtle, green, spicy and sharp modern aquatic notes. Eau d’Italie is not a big scent that will fill every room you enter but it is tenacious. The scent is beautiful and evocative of the place for which it is named.
